You may have noticed from the list that one generation has heavily influenced the other. But wait, it works the other way around too. For I currently have my own list of favorites, some of which I am not proud to admit:
- Shake It- by Metro Station
- 4 Minutes- Madonna (OK, technically she's from my era, but the song is not)
- Poker Face- Lady Gaga
- Hey Soul Sister- Train
- I Gotta Feeling- Black Eyed Peas (Fergie is hot, I'm sorry)
- Fireflies- Owl City
- When I Grow Up- Pussycat Dolls
What is one of your favorite songs from "back in the day" and one from today?

Heat of the Moment - ASIA
Tik Tok - Ke$ha (I'm so ashamed)
Fireflies by Owl City is one of my fave new ones.. my son calls it his "sleepy time song"... we both just seem to melt and relax away while listening to it. Really special.
The "old" song is Papa Don't Preach by Madonna... :)
"Our House" - Madness
"Big Green Tractor" - don't judge me.
my capcha - fatio
If you are over a certain weight, the restaurant will have you eat out on the fatio.
Did she get ahold of a recording of the Eagle band? That's the set you guys played at halftime from Fall '84 isn't it?
Old school this morning: Black Water, Doobie Bros
New School: Did You Get My Message?, Jason Mraz
Tuck's play list: Johnny Cash's greatest hits, "Slow Ride"- by Foghat (he play's air guitar to that one), "I Shot the Sheriff" - Bob Marley, and "The Distance" - by Cake- (not so old but funny for his age)
My Playlist: "Carry Out" by Justin Timberlake and Timbaland, "Bounce" by Cab, and anything by the group Kings of Leon

Your daughter's song list is only the best roller skating playlist EVER!
The first stand out for me was Only the Lonely by the Motels, bought the 45 and still have it. Also - Time after Time, Let's Hear it for the Boy (Footloose), and Tangled up in Blue.
Right now it is all about Empire State of Mind which I would even listen to in Kidz Bop version just to be able to play it in the car with the kids!
